Fidelio Hot Club
Morocco Bound, SE1 3HB , [Venue Details]Fidelio Hot Club is comprised of Reonel Rafols on violin, Cornelius Corkery and Sol Grimshaw on guitars, and Toby Yapp on bass. The group was born from a shared love of gypsy jazz—particularly the music of Django Reinhardt.
Though each member comes from a distinct musical background, they are united by a common thread, a deep respect for the legacy of Django and his collaborator Stéphane Grappelli. The Fidelio Hot Club pays homage to their signature style while also pushing the genre forward with tight arrangements and original compositions.
A regular monthly slot at the Fidelio Café in Farringdon has allowed the group to refine their sound in front of sold-out audiences and build a loyal following. Their debut EP is set for release later this year.
